Found this tutorial, which actually suits my need perfectly. It's a bit of a simple tutorial, but I wasn't aware of how to do this effect anyways, so it still ended up being useful. My Project 5 is about a shape that has to overcome obstacles by changing itself (and acting as an allegory for things being harder than you think they should be), so the shape morph effect I found will be my foundation. I might go hunting for other tutorials depending on what I feel like is possible for me (I'll be looking into gradients and color). The storyboard looks like a lot, but I pen a lot of the smaller motions for my own sake.

  1. This looks like a cool concept! Here's another shape morph tutorial I was planning to do at some point until I changed my tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n24aTp1-jK4

    1. Oh wow that one looks a lot more in-depth than the one I found, I'll definitely be looking at this one for my project. Thanks!

  2. That animation is really fluid and quick, I think it fits great for your proposed concept.

  3. Consider what this shape could represent and give it a storyline. Create a world for this shape to live in, a narrative of sort. It will give it more substance than just seeing a moving shape that changes.

  4. I really like how well your idea and tutorial fit together. I am very interested to see more of the storyline and concept.
